LCL means your cargo shares container space with other shipments. The ocean leg is one part of the journey. Origin handling, documentation, destination terminal charges, customs clearance, inland transport and unloading must be itemised in the freight scope. The forwarder’s chargeable measure, minimums and rounding rules determine the freight calculation.
Packaging, volume and weight
The base-pod packaging schedule is shown below. Max has two packages, which must both be counted. These are base configuration dimensions: separately packed furniture or accessories may change the shipment. Product net weight is not packed gross weight and cannot replace it in a freight quote.
Major cities and regional destinations
Provide the exact postal code for Toronto and the GTA, Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Ottawa, Montréal, Québec City, Winnipeg or Halifax. Metropolitan location alone does not establish a final-mile rate. For island, rural, northern and territorial destinations, confirm the route, transfer points and carrier access before relying on a delivery estimate.
Unloading and movement inside
Confirm whether the delivery includes kerbside placement, loading-dock delivery, a tail lift, inside placement or assembly. Check vehicle access, receiving hours, equipment, doorway widths, turns, stairs and lift capacity. Photograph the route and tell us about restricted access before the shipment is booked.
Timing and receiving the shipment
Production, ocean transit, customs clearance and final delivery are separate stages. Your agreed schedule must identify which stages an estimate includes. On arrival, check package count and visible condition, record any damage with photographs and notify the contact identified in your order documents promptly.
Vancouver and Lower Mainland delivery planning
The calculator uses a Vancouver planning allowance of CAD 850 per Solo or CAD 1,020 per larger pod. These are FocusPod delivery estimates, not a freight carrier’s final quotation. Select the actual model, quantity and furniture or cooling so the package allowance matches your project. Confirm the exact postal code and whether the site has a loading dock, suitable unloading equipment and an unobstructed route. Island and remote destinations require separate review.
Toronto, Ottawa, Montréal and Québec City
For Toronto and the GTA, Ottawa, Montréal and Québec City, the calculator adds a destination-route allowance to the base delivery estimate. The allowance responds to the estimated packed volume, including both Max crates and any separately allowed furniture or cooling. Enter the actual postal code; choosing a city is not confirmation that every address in its province is covered by the same rate. For an office tower or managed building, arrange receiving hours, the goods lift, unloading and inside movement before accepting the delivery scope.
Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg and Halifax
These cities have their own metropolitan planning choices in the delivery calculator. Use the destination that matches your address and include every pod in the shipment. An upper-floor installation, stairs, a crane, restricted vehicle access or an address outside the supported planning area needs a site-specific review. For rural, northern or territorial destinations, tell us the location and access conditions so we can prepare an estimate for that route. Do not use the nearest city’s figure as a confirmed remote-delivery price.

A delivery planning allowance to an accessible commercial receiving point, including standard freight handling and brokerage. Duties, taxes, unloading, inside placement and installation are additional. Destination, receiving equipment and final delivery price are confirmed before payment.
How we estimate delivery
The Vancouver planning allowance is CAD 850 per Solo and CAD 1,020 per larger pod. Other metropolitan areas add a route allowance based on estimated packed volume. We count both Max crates and allow for furniture and cooling packages. Multiple pods are budgeted per pod; larger shipments and special access receive a project review. These are FocusPod estimates, confirmed before ordering.

Planning estimates use stated packing allowances. Final freight bookings use packed gross weights and the actual package schedule; net product weight is not packed gross weight.
